Decline in Vegetable Oil Imports Signals Shift in India’s Market: What It Means for Consumers
Introduction:
In a recent statement by the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA), the import of vegetable oils into India took a significant dip in February. According to industry data, there was a notable 13% decrease compared to the same period last year, amounting to nearly 9.75 lakh tonnes. Let’s dive into the implications of this decline and what it could mean for consumers.
Vegetable Oil Imports Take a Dive:
During February, the import of vegetable oils, which includes both edible and non-edible oils, stood at 9,74,85 tonnes, down from 11,14,481 tonnes in the previous year. This decrease was primarily driven by a decline in edible oil shipments, which fell to 9,67,852 tonnes from 10,98,475 tonnes in February 2023. Non-edible oil imports also experienced a notable decrease, dropping to 7,000 tonnes from 16,006 tonnes in the year-ago period.
Trend Continues Over Four Months:
Looking at a broader timeframe from November 2023 to February 2024, the overall import of vegetable oils saw a substantial 21% decline compared to the corresponding period in the previous oil year. This downward trend in imports persists, with edible oils import falling to 46,15,551 tonnes during the first four months of the current oil year from 58,44,765 tonnes in the previous year. Non-edible oils import also saw a decline, dropping to 32,412 tonnes from 43,135 tonnes during November to February.
Factors Behind the Decline:
One significant factor contributing to this decline is the reduced availability of palm oil, a key component of India’s edible oil market. Malaysia and Indonesia, two major palm oil producers, have shifted focus to biodiesel production, impacting the supply for edible oil needs. As a result, prices are expected to rise this year due to decreased availability.
Outlook for the Future:
The outlook for vegetable oil imports remains uncertain. While there may be a marginal increase in palm oil output in Indonesia and Malaysia, factors such as ageing plantations and limited expansion could hamper significant growth. Additionally, shifts in the import of soyabean oil from Argentina and Brazil reflect changing dynamics within the domestic biofuel industry.
Conclusion:
The decline in vegetable oil imports signals a notable shift in India’s market dynamics. Consumers should brace for potential price increases as the supply of key oils dwindles. Understanding these trends is crucial for navigating the evolving landscape of the edible oil industry in India. Stay tuned for further updates on how these developments may impact consumers in the coming months.

Mectech Palm Oil Refinery Plant- A Legacy of Innovation and Excellence
Oil processing, often known as refining, is the conversion of crude oil into usable products such as petrol, diesel, kerosene, and other petrochemicals. The refining process consists of multiple essential steps, including separation, conversion, treatment, blending, and other refining processes.
Oil refining is a complicated and energy-intensive process that necessitates advanced equipment and technology. It is an important link in the worldwide energy supply chain, providing fuel for transportation, heating, and electricity generation, as well as raw materials for the petrochemical sector.
Of all the oil refining and processing industries, palm oil refinery is the most important sector as it is a very complex oil and for its production it requires good quality plant.
Palm Oil Refining
Palm oil refining industries are among the world's most important manufacturing sectors, and palm oil has grown to become the world's most traded vegetable oil. Indonesia and Malaysia are the main producers, with exporting enterprises for crude palm oil.
Crude palm oil is derived from palm oil's mesocarp. Extracted Crude Palm oil contains some undesirable contaminants, which must be eliminated partially or fully throughout the palm oil refining process to produce good edible oil with increased stability and keepability.
Palm oil is currently a popular cooking oil in many tropical nations, including South East Asia, Africa, and sections of Brazil. Its popularity is attributed due to its higher heat resistance as compared to any other vegetable oil and also because of its lower cost and good oxidative stability.
Palm's unique and finest quality is that it generates two forms of oil: palm oil and palm kernel oil.
Palm oil is derived from the flesh of the palm fruit, whereas palm kernel oil is extracted from the seeds or kernel of the palm fruit using the palm kernel oil process.
Palm oil is derived from fresh palm fruit flesh through pressing and centrifugation at a palm oil facility. To avoid deterioration of Palm Oil, it must be extracted from fresh palm fruit. As a result, countries that cultivate palm oil remove it to prevent it from deteriorating. The crude palm oil's colour is yellow-red or dark yellow, and its taste is sweet.
The crude palm oil extracted contains undesired contaminants, which hurt the oil's physical appearance, quality, oxidative stability, and shelf life. To eliminate the aforementioned pollutants, the oil is sent to a palm oil refinery plant, where it is refined, bleached, and deodorised. After refining the palm oil, the RBD oil is sent to the fractionation unit to extract palm olein and stearin.
Palm Oil Refinery Plant
Palm oil refining is divided into the sections below:
In most palm oil refining plants, the refining process is a vital stage in the manufacture of edible oils and fats. The finished product's properties that must be monitored include flavour, shelf life, stability, and colour.
Crude vegetable oil can be refined in two ways: physically or chemically. During crude palm oil refining, FFA is removed to obtain a maximum FFA level of 0.1%.
Physical refining typically has a smaller environmental impact than chemical refining.
Bleaching edible oils and fats is an important step in the refining process for crude oils and fat. It does eliminate numerous contaminants, which hurt the physical look and quality of the oil. Generally, the oil is taken to the bleaching section first, and the gums are treated with phosphoric acid so that they may be separated in the pressure leaf filter after bleaching.
During this stage, the adsorptive activity of bleaching earth removes trace metal complexes like iron and copper, colouring pigments, phosphatides, and oxidative products.
This bleached oil is next filtered through industrial filters such as a filter press, a hermetically sealed vertical leaf pressure filter, a plate, or a frame filter.
Mectech's unique bleacher design keeps the bleaching earth in full suspension, resulting in no dead zones and lower utility use. Mectech Bleacher guarantees high-quality oil because the bleaching procedure for crude palm oil is carried out under controlled conditions.
Mectech also excels in supplying facilities for rice bran oil processing refinery in India and abroad. Mectech Rice Bran Oil Extraction Machinery in India and abroad offers the following advantages.

since were on that topic, ive been saving up to preorder this olive oil made by Palestinian farmers
I had it recently on some vegetables that my in laws had, it was probably the most rich and most naturally seasoned flavor I've ever tasted like i don't think i'll ever find an olive oil that could match this. I think its extremely important olive oil made from palestinian culture is preserved and that we should support those who have the means to still create and sell it. here was the brand I tasted: https://oliveodyssey.com/
Here is another brand I plan to buy other products from: https://www.alardproducts.com/collections/olive-oil
of course please expect delays in shipping and possibly not recieving an order for a very long time but it's important the farmers know they have business during and even after this.

Things that were and had suddenly changed:
When cooking oil ran out from the market, we replaced it with ghee as an alternative. So the price of ghee increased ten times. When they hoarded sugar, we started to use vanilla extract instead until sugar ran out from the market.Instant coffee is blocked from entering, and the kind that is available is now very expensive. We turned to fresh coffee instead. They started skimping with fresh coffee and its price increased dramatically. Vegetables are expensive and practically nonexistent. We started to depend on canned food. Now the can of spoilt food, peas, beans, fava beans and chickpeas, is 7 shekels (2$)
My friends, I want to clarify something very important to you, which is that all the campaign money is spent and nothing is left. This post shows you the cost of living in Gaza.
Don't look at how much the campaign has earned, but look at how many people it has spent on and how much life costs in Gaza.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Time is of the essence! ❤️🩹🙏

In your Jewel redesign, you said that Wasp probably wouldn’t let her get away with full drag, but that does make me curious. What would a dragon in drag would look like?
you will not BELIEVE how much I've thought about this, both during and after designing her. I can answer your question and beyond!!

The (Drag) Queens of Pantala
In order to properly explore Pantalan drag, I first looked to the (cultural) definition of drag itself, as well as learning some brief history. With the first known preformance occurring in 1867 (Although not truly popularized until the 19th century,) Human Rights Campaign and other LGBTQ+ organizations describe drag as a preformance art form that uses costumes, makeup and other tools to illustrate exaggerated expressions of gender identity, intended to critique gender inequality or other social justice issues. Drag has traditionally been preformed/pioneered by members of the LGBTQ+ community, predominantly gay men and/or people of color.
With this in mind, Pantalan drag was most likely created and developed by Silkwings (especially in jewel hive) as a form of protest art. I imagine the movement was later popularized by hivewing audiences, becoming more palatable to the wider public after being endorsed by a privileged group as art movements often are. While there are a myriad of social justice issues Pantalan drag could have originally meant to critique, the loss of Silkwing rights and deforestation of Pantala were probably the two main driving topics.

Their Artistic Process
As for the actual production of drag costumes or makeup, Silkwings would have had to work with what was available to them - fruits, vegetables, basic dyes/craft materials and their own silk. They would construct their own jewelry using beads instead of gold, weave their garments, and grind mica with pigments and oil to make eyeshadow.
Leaves, roots and trees would be frequent design elements of early drag: with the eye-catching glamour of a dragon working to simultaneously distract detractors and seek out supporters. Heavy accessorizing and imagery of wealth would also be important to presenting Silkwings as equal to Hivewings, through metaphorical sense. The processes of creating Pantalan drag is what leads me to believe it would prosper best in jewel hive: outside of their relaxed rules and support of Silk/Hive equality, they would also have easiest access to craft materials, dyes and a lively art scene.. endorsed by Lady Jewel herself.

Just a few thoughts on drag. Thanks for asking this question! I was looking for a chance to spill and you gave it to me ( ´ ▽ ` ).。o♡

The Rising Cost of Living in Gaza: A Struggle for Basic Necessities Amid War and Blockade

The ongoing conflict in Gaza, coupled with the harsh realities of an enduring blockade, has resulted in a humanitarian crisis marked by an unprecedented rise in the cost of living. This has made it nearly impossible for families to afford even the most basic necessities. The image provided vividly illustrates the plight of ordinary people, where the prices of everyday essentials have soared to alarming levels, further exacerbating the hardships of survival.
For instance, a single bottle of sunflower oil now costs an outrageous $14.72. A single kilogram of sugar is priced at $9.37, while a kilogram of bulgur wheat stands at $8.83. Shockingly, the price of one potato or one onion is $8.03 each, reflecting how even the most basic vegetables are becoming unaffordable. Other necessities such as tahini are marked at $13.38, a small bar of soap costs $5.89, and butter is priced at $4.01. These prices not only highlight the severity of inflation but also reveal the harsh impact of scarcity and restricted imports due to the blockade.
The economic devastation caused by years of war and isolation has crippled Gaza’s local industries, leading to widespread unemployment and poverty. Families are left struggling to meet their daily needs, while children, the elderly, and the sick bear the brunt of this humanitarian disaster. Healthcare, clothing, and adequate shelter are becoming distant dreams for many, particularly as winter approaches.
This situation demands urgent action from the global community. Efforts to lift the blockade, ensure the supply of essential goods, and provide financial aid must be prioritized to alleviate the suffering of those in Gaza.
I urge you to take a stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza. My family, like countless others, is struggling to survive these harsh conditions. You can help by donating to our campaign or simply sharing it with others to raise awareness. Together, we can bring hope and support to those in need.

When you think of Eastern European Jewish cuisine, which words come to mind? Light? Healthy? Plant based? Probably not. Heavy, homey and meat-centric are more like it.
Fania Lewando died during the Holocaust, but had she been given the full length of her years, Ashkenazi Jewish cuisine may have taken a turn to the vegetarian side and we might all be eating vegetarian kishke and spinach cutlets in place of brisket.
Lewando is not a household name. In fact, she would have been lost to history had it not been for an unlikely turn of events. Thanks to a serendipitous find, her 1937 work, “The Vilna Vegetarian Cookbook” (“Vegetarish-Dietisher Kokhbukh”in Yiddish), was saved from oblivion and introduced to the 21st century.
Vilna in the 1930s, where Lewando and her husband Lazar made their home, was a cosmopolitan city with a large Jewish population. Today, it is the capital of Lithuania but it was then part of Poland. Lewando opened a vegetarian eatery called The Vegetarian Dietetic Restaurant on the edge of the city’s Jewish quarter. It was a popular spot among both Jews and non-Jews, as well as luminaries of the Yiddish-speaking world. (Even renowned artist Marc Chagall signed the restaurant’s guest book.)
Lewando was a staunch believer in the health benefits of vegetarianism and devoted her professional life to promoting these beliefs. She wrote: “It has long been established by the highest medical authorities that food made from fruit and vegetables is far healthier and more suitable for the human organism than food made from meat.” Plus, she wrote, vegetarianism satisfies the Jewish precept of not killing living creatures.
We know little about her life other than she was born Fania Fiszlewicz in the late 1880s to a Jewish family in northern Poland. She married Lazar Lewando, an egg merchant from what is today Belarus and they eventually made their way to Vilna. They did not have children.
Lewando, to quote Jeffrey Yoskowitz, author of “The Gefilte Manifesto” was “a woman who challenged convention;” a successful entrepreneur, which was a rarity among women of the time. She supervised a kosher vegetarian kitchen on an ocean liner that traveled between Poland and the United States, and gave classes on nutrition to Jewish women in her culinary school.
“The Vilna Vegetarian Cookbook” was sold in Europe and the U.S. in Lewando’s day, but most of the copies were lost or destroyed during the Second World War. In 1995, a couple found a copy of the cookbook at a second-hand book fair in England. They understood the importance of a pre-war, Yiddish-language, vegetarian cookbook written by a woman, so purchased it and sent it to the YIVO Institute’s offices in New York. There, it joined the millions of books, periodicals and photos in YIVO’s archives.
It was discovered again by two women who visited YIVO and were captivated by the book’s contents and colorful artwork. They had it translated from Yiddish to English so it could be enjoyed by a wider audience.
Like many Ashkenazi cooks, salt was Lewando’s spice, butter her flavor and dill her herb. The book is filled with dishes you’d expect: kugels and blintzes and latkes; borscht and many ways to use cabbage. There’s imitation gefilte fish and kishke made from vegetables, breadcrumbs, eggs and butter. Her cholent (a slow-cooked Sabbath stew) recipes are meat-free, including one made with prune, apple, potatoes and butter that is a cross between a stew and a tzimmes.
There are also some surprises.
Did you know it was possible to access tomatoes, eggplants, asparagus, lemons, cranberries, olive oil, Jerusalem artichokes, blueberries and candied orange peel in pre-war Vilna? There’s a French influence, too, such as recipes for mayonnaise Provencal and iles flottante, a meringue-based dessert, and a salad of marinated cornichons with marinated mushrooms.
“It’s hard to know who the target audience was for this cookbook,” said Eve Jochnowitz, its English-language translator. “We know from contemporary memoirs that people in Vilna did not have access to these amazing amounts of butter, cream and eggs,” she said. “Lewando was writing from a somewhat privileged and bourgeois position.” While many of these recipes may have been aspirational given the poverty of the Jews at the time, the cookbook demonstrates that it was possible to obtain these ingredients in Vilna, should one have the resources to do so.
While the cookbook is filled with expensive ingredients, there is also, said Jochnowitz, “a great attention to husbanding one’s resources. She was ahead of her time in the zero-waste movement.” Lewando admonishes her readers to waste nothing. Use the cooking water in which you cooked your vegetables for soup stock. Use the vegetables from the soup stock in other dishes. “Throw nothing out,” she writes in the cookbook’s opening essay. “Everything can be made into food.” Including the liquid from fresh vegetables; Lewando instructed her readers on the art of vitamin drinks and juices, with recipes for Vitamin-Rich Beet Juice and Vitamin-Rich Carrot Juice. “This was very heroic of her,” said Jochnowitz. “There were no juice machines! You make the juice by grating the vegetables and then squeezing the juice out by hand.”
Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett, a Jewish scholar and Jewish cookbook collector, describes Lewando as “witty.” “She is showing us,” she said, “that once you eliminate meat and fish, you still have an enormous range of foods you can prepare.” Lewando is about “being creative, imaginative and innovative both with traditional dishes and with what she is introducing that is remote from the traditional repertoire.” She does that in unexpected ways. Her milchig (dairy) matzah balls, for example, have an elegance and lightness to them. She instructs the reader to make a meringue with egg whites, fold in the yolks, then combine with matzah meal, melted butter and hot water. Her sauerkraut salad includes porcini mushrooms. One of her kugels combines cauliflower, apples, sliced almonds and candied orange peel.
There is much that, through contemporary eyes, is missing in “The Vilna Vegetarian Cookbook.” The recipes do not give step-by-step instructions; rather you will find general directions. Heating instructions are vague, ranging from a “not-too-hot-oven” to a “warm oven” to a “hot oven.” Lewando assumes the reader’s familiarity with the kitchen that today’s cookbook writer would not.
Lewando and her husband were listed in the 1941 census of the Vilna Ghetto but not in the census of 1942. It is believed that they both died or were killed while attempting to escape. “She really was a visionary,” said Jochnowitz. “It is an unbearable tragedy that she did not live to see the future that she predicted and helped to bring about.”But in cooking her recipes, said Yoskowitz, as dated and incomplete as some of them may be, the conversation between then and now continues.

what is it like being married to Rabastan Lestrange? 💭
cw: MDNI 18+, mentions of trauma, wizarding war, death eaters | masterlist
you were the first thing Rabastan ever cared about more than his family
as soon as he laid eyes on you in the Hogwarts corridors, he knew that you were the love of his life, his soulmate, his wife
and thankfully, he's so charming, so infuriatingly handsome, that he had no trouble winning your affection
though, he makes a point to keep that flame burning every single day
Rabastan is unwavering in his loyalty, entirely devoted to you and his duty as your husband. he may wear the dark mark on his skin, but your name is etched onto his heart.
his entire life was spent on his brother Rodolpus’ shadow. he was second at everything, no matter how hard he worked, how ambitious he was, Rodolpus had done everything first.
but you…you were just his. Not his brother's, not his father's, his. you are his greatest accomplishment.
he's deeply romantic with you, candlelit dinners, bubble baths, chocolate and flowers when you're feeling down (mind you, they're gourmet chocolates and fifty long-stem red roses. only the best for his darling.)
you don't care about his money, and you tell him so constantly. but that doesn't stop the lavish gifts and luxury dates, custom made jewelery and designer clothing.
once on a trip to Paris, a piece of art at a the Louvre made you well up, and when you returned home the following week, it was hanging in the library by your favorite chair.
but he also brings you smaller trinkets and treats, a stone he found on a walk of the grounds that reminded him of your eyes, a peeling, sun-bleached book he saw in a thrift store by your favorite author, the cherries out of his old-fashioned, his coat off his back
he loves to play the piano for you, a secret passion of his, and you'll stretch out across the top of the instrument in the study, watching those dexterous fingers fly across the keys, playing whatever your favorite song of that week was, or the song you danced to at your wedding that he composed himself.
he tried to teach you once, his hands resting gently over yours, but you were too distracted by his heat at your back and the architecture of his forearms to learn a damn thing.
which was his preferred outcome anyways. he never gets tired of seeing you moon over him the way he does for you.
he also loves to cook for you despite the army of servants. he’ll give them all the night off, pay them extra to ensure they don't disturb you, and whip up your favorite meal. you always sit on the counter by him, a glass of the vintage wine he'd selected for them cellar in hand, watching him putter around in his pressed button down and tailored slacks, an apron around his waist and a towel thrown of his broad shoulder
he feeds you bits of cheese and crust of bread dipped in imported olive oil, stealing lush, wine-stained kisses between stirring pots and chopping vegetables
kissing Rab is like sinking into the fine leather seat of a luxury sports car. plush and decadent presses, indulgent to an almost excess, but when he hits the gas, it's exhilarating, heart-pounding, wildly fun. (more on that later)
hes a busy man, always in meetings with his family while running your household with an iron fist.
Rab will accept nothing less than perfection in nearly all things…except you (bc you're always perfect to him)
you can be as wild and carefree as you like, run around the gardens barefoot, finger paint a mural in the library, write your name over every piece of priceless art, and he'd only kiss the top of your head and praise you for your creativity.
but on the odd occasion he does get upset with you (usually because you put yourself in some kind of danger), he goes radio silent. avoiding you for two, three, maybe five days until he feels calm enough to talk to you without raising his voice.
he would cut out his tongue before speaking to you unkindly
he's a passionate man and feels things very deeply despite his calm, collected demeanor
and the thought of losing you…it shakes him to his core.
after an incident with a rogue death eater, Rab didn't leave your side for a week. he barely slept, barely blinked, until he killed the fucker himself…twice.
your husband was protective, possessive, his initials RL hanging on a solid gold chain around your throat.
everyone in London knew who you belonged to, and what the consequences were for coming at you sideways.
he wasn't jealous, per se. he knows he's usually the most attractive and powerful man in any room, and he knows how much you love him.
but when some fucking bastard has the audacity to speak to his wife out of turn, it's a a crime he simply cannot abide.
Rabastan is a strong man, built tall and broad like his older brother and father, and was unmatched with a wand, but he preferred a subtler approach. ie dismantling their self-esteem one bladed insult as a time.
you'd lost count of how many grown men he'd made cry and roll over like whelped dogs.
and it never failed to shock you when he'd verbally rip someone to shreds, then place the most tender kiss to your temple, murmuring his affection in your ear until you smiled and kissed the sin from that wicked mouth.
like his father, he can be cruel, callous, cold. you've seen on more than one occasion just how vicious he can be when provoked, but he's always always soft for you.
with you, he sheds his armor like a coat. loving to lay his head on your chest to feel the steady drum of your heart, your legs wrapped around his waist, fingers combing through his dark hair.
he has a lot of trauma from his upbringing (thought he'd never admit it). and nightmares and flashbacks are a regular occurrence. in those moments, you are the only thing that can soothe him, bring him back to himself and not the monster they made him.
he loves it when you hum for him, sing or read aloud. anything that fills the quiet with you, your presence. surrounded by you. drowning in you. mind, body, and soul.
he revels in your softness, your kind heart, and it soothes something sharp in his chest, rounding the edges of him until he feels more human than weapon.
ok…now the good stuff 🌶️
when you first met Rab, you assumed he'd be super dominant in bed, rough and claiming, but the reality is a bit different
the first time, he coaxed the orgasm out of you like the sun coaxes a flower to bloom, gentle, deliberate, and with absolute certainty.
he’s dominant, one hundred thousand percent, but it's a quiet kind of dominance. sweetened with praise and hazy affection, murmuring sweet nothings while he ravaged your body.
thats my girl, just like that.
I know you can take it, you're doing so well.
just a bit further, pet.
there you go, baby.
he could play your body like an instrument, knowing you almost better than you knew yourself, pulling orgasms from your wrecked body with relentless precision, using his cum and thick fingers to keep you slick and pliant for round after round
you can give me one more, I know you can. don't deny me what's mine.
he loved to mark you, leaving indented crescent moons across your tits and thighs
for all his pretention and neatness, he loved making a mess of you. spitting on your tongue and drooling pussy, seeing your slick coat him to the wrist, shining the leather of his Rolex watch. smearing his spend across your puffy lips and angelic face
so fucking pretty like this, baby. only I get to see you like this, yeah? my innocent lamb to ruin?
Rab's a giant munch, sloppy while he devoured your pussy, nuzzling your clit with his nose while he tongue fucked you, using his big hands to spread you open, nursing your clit with hard, rhythmic pulls until you were screaming and thrashing beneath him, soaking that gorgeous face with your honey
you loved to ride him, having all those rippling muscles and thick cock to play with, to use however you like. he'd run his hands over your body, lazy and languid, while you rode him with abandon, perfectly content to savor the sight of your eager, pleasure-drunk face, your perfect tits bouncing on his face while your greedy pussy sucked him deeper.
doing so well, love. you feel me all the way up there? don't worry, darling, you can have it all.
he also absolutely loves reminding you that you're his wife, that you're his, especially when your choking on his cock, blinking up at him with those pretty eyes
show me what a good wife you are. so eager to please, aren't you? that's it, baby. open that little throat for me.
his other fav positions are doggy and up against the wall, anything that has you at his mercy, where he can fuck you steady and deep, pushing you to your limits by the sheer intensity of pleasure, the unrelenting glide of his girthy cock in your tight, drooling hole, gripping his length with every withdrawal. like you wanted him to stay buried in your gooey heat forever
and there was nowhere that was off limits, a lesson your house staff and his brother learned the hard way on more than one occasion.
he particularly loved fucking you in his office and the dining room, using your body as his own personal stress-relief, or spread out like his favorite meal.
fucking your throat under his desk after a tough meeting, or licking whipped cream off your tits for dessert, before bending you over the wood, legs spread, pussy dripping.
Rab would always clean you up with his tongue, soothing your raw and ravaged cunt with tender, lush licks and open-mouthed kisses. so sinfully self-indulgent it made you melt every time.
he's the king of aftercare. lavender-scented bubble baths, peppermint tea for your abused throat, a warm compress for your aching pussy.
he'd perch on the edge of the tub, tending to your bedraggled hair with the utmost care and precision, cooing and fussing until you were sound asleep in your shared four poster bed.
Rabastan is a glutton for pleasure, and you are his favorite indulgence.

HONEYS IT GIRL MAGAZINE may edition⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🎀
welcome back to honeys it girl magazine, this is the may catalog. get ready for the inside scoop on data that i've collected, things i've learned/started doing, and just general info like that organized in kind of a teen-magazine inspired fashion. a magazine for it girls ✨ and now please enjoy, the it girl magazine.
FOR THE WELLNESS GIRLIES ;
this month i discovered ballerina tea! and if u dont know what ballerina tea is, im going to put you on bcuz thats the whole point of the it girls magazine. the key ingredients in ballerina tea is senna and chinese mallow.
so essentially ballerina tea contains herbs that some cultures have traditionally used for a long time. its marketed as a weight loss tea but thats not all true. ballerina tea has a laxative effect and is really good for DETOXIFICATION and translate into lost weight in the form of water and stools.
while we are on the topic of consumption this is your reminder to eat ur fresh fruits and veggies! lets talk about ways to incorporate more fresh foods into our everyday diet.
if u like to snack, make fruits and vegetables more accessible for you. by prepping snacks before the cravings start, your snacking smarter.
start making smoothies or açai bowls as a rly yummy and easy way of getting fresh fruits daily.
make tasty veggie platters with home made sauces as a way to get in vegetables, or find a way to incorporate veggies into ur favorite recipes.
something that i did recently that has improved the quality of my diet is simply making some foods from scratch. for example i had a huge craving for fries, so i made home made fries and i can guarantee its 10X better then the processed fries that i would've gotten.
THE SCRAMBLE FOR SUMMER PLANS ;
school is FINALLY done. we are free to enjoy our hot girl summers! but now that school is done i find myself faced with the "now what?" question. no but seriously now what? no one wants to have a wasted summer, and ik u dont either so make sure to live up ur summer!
i did not take my own advice and i did not make preparations in advance for my summer so as of writing this post i have no plans, so im scrambling to make plans with my friends and set things up for myself. im planning out things like girls trips to the city, shopping trips, parties, dinners etc etc. and ofc manifesting for the vacation that i deserve.
HONEYS BEAUTY CORNER ;
SUPER EASY TANNING ROUTINE - tanning is one of the most important parts of summer! to start ur tanning routine, first things first set up a tanning playlist. my tanning playlist consists of songs like espresso by sabrina carpenter, nasty by tinashe, and turn it up by pink pantheress.
next apply some SPF to protect ur skin from the hot sun and apply some tanning oil if u have it. something else important to remember when tanning is to cooldown after tanning so keep some aloe vera gel on hand to avoid burning. we wanna TAN not burn.
tan the front then the back (each in 10 minute intervals) by the time ur done each side should tan for about 20 minutes each. so it'd be something like (front - 10 minutes, back - 10 minutes, front - 10 minutes, back - 10 minutes)
afterwards COOL DOWN with some swimming, some aloe vera, have a tasty mocktail/cocktail, apply some tanning oil and repeat the process one more time.
SMELLING LIKE THE BEACH - if u wanna smell like the beach, go to the beach. but if u wanna have the same effect i recommend the following products : the watermelon and coconut scented tree hut scrubs. the maui hair products. cabana girl body wash from philosophy. the bum bum body scrub. sol de janeiro rio radiance. ;
DIONNE FROM CLUELESS - STYLE DISSECTION ;
dionne is my absolute favorite character in the clueless movie and show for a MULTITUDE of different reasons. she is the embodiment of black femininity, girlyness, and she just exudes the lavish energy that we all know and love!
lets start off by talking about the way that dionne styles her hair. dionne's hair is so healthy, bouncy and absolutely GORGEOUS. she frequently styles her hair with things like headbands and clips. i've seen her in lots of different hairstyles and she always EATS.
dionne isnt particularly drawn to one specific color, the colors that she wears ranges depending on her outfit but everything is so well put together. one of dionne's most ICONIC looks is her unforgettable burgundy velvet dress with some white detaling.

Writing Notes: Poison
References (Forms, Actions & Examples of Poison; Route of Administration; Some Symptoms; What to do if a Poisoning Happens)
400 years back, Paracelsus stated that, “All substances are poisons; there is none which is not a poison.”
If the right dose is taken, it could become a remedy, otherwise poisonous.
Poison - a substance which when administered, inhaled or swallowed by living organism causes ill effects on the body. It is defined also as a medicine in a toxic dose. Toxic substance may be solid, liquid, gas or any environmental agent.
Forms of Poison
Physical form: Gaseous/volatile/vaporous forms of poisons act faster than liquid poisons as they are quickly absorbed. Similarly, liquid poisons act faster than solid poisons. Gaseous or volatile > liquid > solid. For solid poisons, powdered poisons act quickly than the lumps. For example, there are certain seeds that escape the gastrointestinal tract as they are solid, but when crushed, they can be fatal. For solids: powdered > lumps
Chemical form: Few substances like mercury or arsenic are not poisonous as they are insoluble and cannot be absorbed when they are in combination with other substances like mercuric chloride, arsenic oxide, etc. In other cases, the action is vice versa. For example, there are some substances that become inert in combination with silver nitrate and hydrochloric acid and are deadly and poisonous when present in pure forms.
Mechanical combination: The effect of poisons is significantly altered when they are combined with inert substances.
Action of Poisons
Local action: Direct action on the affected site of the body. Examples include irritation and inflammation in strong mineral acids and alkalis, congestion and inflammation by irritants, the effect on motor and sensory nerves, etc.
Remote action: Affects the person due to absorption of that poison into the system of that person. For example, alcohol is absorbed in the system and then it affects the person.
Local and remote actions: Some poisons can affect both local and remote organs. Thus, they not only affect the area with contact to the poison but also cause toxic effect after absorption into the system.
General action: The absorbed poison affects more than one system of the body, for example, mercury, arsenic, etc.
Route of Administration
The route of administration is the path through which a drug, toxin, or poison is taken or administered into the body of a person which is distinguished by the location where any drug is applied. It is mostly classified on the basis of its target:
Topical—has a local effect
Enteral—has a wide effect, i.e., affect the whole system
Parental—follows a systemic action
Poisons are given or taken so that death can occur at once by shock due to stoppage of body’s vital systems.
Route of administration plays a very important role in determination of death by poison as time in which death occurs are fastest in inhaled poisons, relatively slow in injected and lastly when ingested orally.
Some Symptoms
Sore throat
Trouble breathing
Drowsiness, irritability, or jumpiness
Nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain without fever
Lip or mouth burns or blisters
Unusual drooling
Strange odors on breath
Unusual stains on clothing
Seizures or unconsciousness
Examples
Poisons Based on Mode of Action
1. Corrosive poisons
Strong Acid - sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid
Strong Base - sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammoniumhydroxide
2. Irritant poisons
(a) Inorganic:
Metallic - lead, arsenic, mercury, antimony, copper, zinc
Non-metallic - chlorine, bromine, iodine
(b) Organic:
Vegetable - croton oil, castor oil
Animal - snake venom, scorpion venom, spider venom
(c) Mechanical: powder glass, diamond dust
3. Neurotic poisons
Cerebral - alcohol, opium, barbiturates, benzodiazepines
Spinal - strychnine
Peripheral - curare
4. Cardiac poisons
5. Asphyxiants - CO2, CO
Poisons Based on Medicolegal Classification
Homicidal poisons - aconite, abrus precatorius, strychnos nux vomica
Suicidal poisons - opium, barbiturate, organophosphorous, organochloro compounds
Accidental poisons - snake bite, CO, dhatura's seeds as it resembles capsicum seeds
Abortifacient poisons - quinine, calotropis
Stupefying agents - dhatura, chloral hydrate
Agents used to cause body injury - corrosive acids
Cattle poison - abrus precatorius, calotropis
Used for malingering - semicarpus anacardium
Poisons Based on Toxico-analytical Classification
1. Gaseous poisons: methanol, ethanol, benzene, toluene, acetone
2. Volatile substances: ethane, butane
3. Organic Non-volatile substances:
Drugs - opiates and synthetic narcotics, sedatives and hypnotics, stimulants, depressants
Pesticides - insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, rodenticides, nematocides
4. Metallic poisons: arsenic, lead, mercury, antimony, zinc, copper
5. Anion poisons: bromide, cyanide, fluoride, hypochlorite, nitrate, phosphate, sulfide, sulfate
Poisons Based on Physical State
1. Solid: lead, arsenic, mercury
2. Liquid:
Organic - ethanol, methanol, chloroform, acetone
Inorganic - liquid ammonia, liquid sulfur dioxide
3. Gaseous: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide
Poisonous Fumes or Gases
In the home, poisonous fumes can be emitted from the following sources:
A car running in a closed garage
Leaky gas vents
Wood, coal, or kerosene stoves that are not working properly
Mixing bleach and ammonia together while cleaning, which makes chloramine gas
Strong fumes from other cleaners and solvents
Common Household Products
Oily hydrocarbon products are thin and slippery and can easily suffocate if the substances are drawn into the lungs when ingested. The products can cause chemical pneumonia by coating the inside of the lungs. Products that are required to have a safety lid include:
Baby oils
Sunscreens
Nail enamel dryers
Hair oils
Bath, body, and massage oils
Makeup removers
Some automotive chemicals (gasoline additives, fuel injection cleaners, and carburetor cleaners)
Cleaning solvents (wood oil cleaners, metal cleaners, spot removers, and adhesive removers)
Some water repellents containing mineral spirits used for decks, shoes, and sports equipment
General-use household oil
Gun-cleaning solvents containing kerosene
Oil products that are thicker and more "syrupy" are not as problematic, since they are not as easily inhaled into the lungs.
What to do if a poisoning happens
Swallowed poisons
Stay calm, act quickly, and follow these guidelines:
Get the poison away
If the substance is still in the mouth, make them spit it out or remove it with your fingers (keep this along with any other evidence of what was swallowed)
Do not make them vomit
Do not follow instructions on packaging regarding poisoning because these are often outdated. Instead, call Poison Help to get connected to a local poison center.
Take or send the poison container with you to help the healthcare provider find out what was swallowed.
Poisons on the skin
If someone spills a chemical on his or her body, remove his or her clothes and rinse the skin with lukewarm—not hot—water.
If the area shows signs of being burned, continue rinsing for at least 15 minutes, no matter how much they may protest.
Then call the poison control center for further advice.
Do not use ointments or grease.
Poison in the eye
Flush the eye by holding the eyelid open and pouring a steady stream of lukewarm—not hot—water into the inner corner of the eye.
If this is a child, you may need help from another adult to hold the child while you rinse the eye.
Continue flushing the eye for 15 minutes, and call the poison control center for further instructions.
Do not use an eyecup, eyedrops, or ointment unless the poison center tells you to do so.
Poisonous fumes or gases
If someone breathes in fumes or gases, get him or her into fresh air right away.
If they are breathing without a problem, call the poison center for further instructions.
If they are having difficulty breathing, call 911 or your local emergency service (EMS).
If they have stopped breathing, start CPR and do not stop until they breathe on their own or someone else can take over.
If you can, have someone call 911 right away.
If you are alone, perform CPR for 2 minutes and then call 911.
Be prepared for a poisoning emergency by posting the poison center telephone number by every telephone in your home.

I haven't been here in a while. A few months, at least. I live in the United States and I think, unless you've been in a genuine coma, you likely know what my country is going through politically. I don't often mean to get political and truly, I never do, but I feel now more than ever that my therianthropy has a role in something important beyond my personal identity.
My non-working life is largely spent in the national refuges, parks, and reserves across my country. The workers that protect them have been fired.
The habitats of my theriotype and my kithtypes are constantly facing a threat from the 1% of billionaires who view the ocean, the forests, the prairies, the deserts, the arctics, the entire world as a resource to exploit to further their wealth without personal consequence. As if the ecosystem is not a home for billions, if not trillions, of voiceless, living beings.
Forests are being sliced down to produce more cash, line more pockets, make more room for un-needed infrastructure in the wake of a country already on fire from climate change that "doesn't exist".
The arctic is being drilled for oil until it is no longer habitable by the animals who rely on it, and people are fine with this because it does not personally effect them.
The waterfalls and rivers are running dry to use up their water resources with no considerations as to what that will cause or how it will impact things because "that's a problem for the future generation".
The lives of your friends are at stake, the people in our own community, even our family members because of people threatened by differences.
I am tired. I have no choice but to be complacent, but I have never felt more drawn to bite the hands that try to approach me with their cages and leashes and muzzles. As I sit on the beach or by the lake and see the trash accumulating and the rainbow sheen of leaking oil accumulating at the shore, I can't help but ask "what can I do?". I am sitting here in the now, watching this happen and keep wishing this was only a chapter in a history book, but it is not. This is reality.
I feel a sense of personal responsibility for maintaining what little I can for my home as an animal. This body has given me voice, a medium to share it, and the ability to take action as much as possible even if it is a microscopic impact in the wake of billionaire oligarchs.
If we bite their hands, they will use it as a reason to put us down and tighten our muzzles, but we can do something even within our cages. Please, safely go to protests when you can. Boycott large brands. Do not spend your money where possible on big chains or abusive corporations. Clean up your territories and preserve what little land we are allowed to call our own, even if it is small. Grow what you can. Flowers, trees, vegetables, herbs, fruits, plant them all for every bit of nature that we reclaim and expand upon is something they haven't taken. Group up in your communities and support each other. Sign petitions for our animals, for our environment, for our volunteers, for your friends. Speak out on your platforms. Make art, make videos, write posts, make signs, plaster posters in your neighborhoods, actively fight the censorship. Fight them in the ways they don't want us to fight them, and do not let them convince you that your actions are too small to make a difference. Any difference is better than no difference, and combined efforts make large waves. And most importantly...
They cannot take our ferality.
Do not let them euthanize you.

how to wake up earlier
sleep is a challenge for many people. after vacations or intensive projects or even a couple rounds of staying up late playing video games, we've all messed up our sleep schedules before. this is a guide on how to wake up earlier and get healthier sleep. please let me know if you'd like more posts like this. wishing love and prosperity to all <3
the night/day before:
choose a bedtime that's 9-10 hours before your wake up time. make sure you're in bed at this time. if you don't fall asleep immediately (which you won't, the first couple of times) read or journal until you feel sleepy.
turn your devices off or put them away at least 30 minutes (ideally 2 hours) before your bedtime. if you have any devices that stay on overnight, make sure they aren't within arms reach and notifications are turned off. if you're using your phone as an alarm make sure it's on the other side of your room, so that you have to walk to turn your alarm off in the morning.
make sure dinner is a light, satisfying meal. don't eat after dinner, as this can lead to acid reflux and interrupted sleep.
avoid caffeine and sugary drinks in the afternoon and evening. keep your caffeine intake under 400mg per day.
sleep with your curtains or blinds open. this will help adjust your circadian rhythm to the day/night cycle.
find a relaxing hobby you can do before bed. some ideas include crochet, knitting, reading, journaling or building puzzles. these are well known in helping with stress management and can help you unwind before you go to sleep.
create a relaxing night routine. make sure you feel clean and comfortable by the time you go to sleep.
make use of a lavender scent before you go to bed. whether it's a linen spray, incense, a candle or an oil diffuser. lavender is calming and can help you feel sleepy, especially if you learn to associate it with sleep.
in the morning:
get out of bed the second you wake up. you need to get up, turn off your alarm and stay out of bed.
make your first activity of the day one you enjoy. your skincare routine, cooking a nice breakfast, a warm shower or even sitting on the couch watching netflix is an option. there's no shame in what you choose to do first thing in the morning, even if it's not productive. if it gets you out of bed, it's the right choice.
expose yourself to sunlight as soon as possible in the morning. just 10 minutes could help your circadian rhythm adjust. if it's dark in the mornings because of the weather or the different seasons, turn your lights on.
other tips:
avoid pulling all-nighters or taking naps. staying up all night is bad for your health, full stop. lack of sleep weakens your immune system and ruins your focus during the day. taking naps regularly can impair the sleep schedule you've been working so hard to build. however, if you're really tired, a 20 minute nap is better than a cup of coffee.
make your mental health and stress management a priority. depression, anxiety and stress result in poor sleep. they can be managed with a well balanced lifestyle and professional intervention.
having a well balanced diet can improve your general health as well as your sleep. make sure you aren't skipping meals. have of each meal should be fruits and vegetables, a quarter grains (preferably wholegrain) and a quarter protein. eat as much variety as possible.
stay well hydrated. the common recommendation of 8 glasses a day is a good goal. staying hydrated can help you stay more alert during the day.
regular exercise can improve quality of sleep. exercise during the day if possible, but definitely not within 2 hours of your bedtime.
make a list of reasons why you want to wake up early. read this every night before you go to bed and first thing in the morning. make sure your reasons are important enough to motivate you.
if you're struggling to adjust to a new sleep schedule because your current sleep schedule is so far off, adjust your bed/wake times in 30 minute increments. this can make the adjustment more comfortable.
stay as consistent as possible. try to keep the habits you've built, even over vacations or exam seasons. discipline will eventually become a habit.
only drink in moderation, alcohol can do serious damage to your circadian rhythm. alcohol generally is bad for you and should not be overconsumed.
if you're having persistent issues with sleep, reach out to a doctor or a sleep specialist who can help you.
finally, be kind to yourself. you can't force yourself to sleep, and stressing about it will only make sleeping properly more difficult. change comes gradually, and you can achieve anything you set your mind to as long as you're consistent.
~*
i hope you're having a lovely day. if you have anymore tips for achieving a healthy sleep schedule, please let me know. i would love to hear it.
